Goran Gizdavčić

Goran Gizdavčić carries on the path of his grandfather (Stjepan Gizdavčić - a self-educated painter and photographer who used to take photographs already in the twenties of the last century). He lives in Omiš and is employed in Split as a graduate economist. He has been engaged in photography since 1987. Hi is a member of the "Photoclub Zagreb". The renowned New York Photography Institute awarded and inserted 3 of his photographs (A Line of Poplar-Trees, A Luminous Snail, Windows) into their files in 2000. In 2000. he had an independent exhibition in Omiš, in the interior of the small medieval Church of the Holly Spirit under the "11th Omiš Summer". In July and August 2001. he organized independent exhibition under the renowned Festival dalmatinskih klapa - Omiš. Motifs of his photographs originate from Omiš and Dalmatia. The author has a rich slide library.
This summer, in August, he organizes his 3rd independent exhibition in the interior of the "Bookstore Ljevak"- Omiš.

Goran Gizdavčić nastavlja putem
svog djeda (Stjepan Gizdavčić - samouki
slikara i fotograf koji je izrađivao fotografije još dvadesetih godina prošlog
stoljeća). Živi u Omišu a radi u Splitu kao diplomirani ekonomist.
Fotografijom se bavi od 1987. godine. Član je "Fotokluba Zagreb".
Poznati institut za fotografiju iz New Yorka je
2000. godine nagradio i uvrstio u svoju arhivu 3 njegove fotografije ( Drvored
jablanova, Svijetleći puž, Prozori ). Godine 2000. imao je samostalnu
izložbu u Omišu u prostoru srednjovjekovne crkvice Sv. Duha u okviru "
11. Omiškog ljeta ". U srpnju i kolovozu 2001. godine priredio je
samostalnu izložbu u sklopu poznatog Festivala dalmatinskih klapa - Omiš. Motivi njegovih fotografija potječu
iz Omiška i Dalmacije. Autor posjeduje i brojnu dijateku.
Ovog ljeta u mjesecu kolovozu priređuje III samostalnu izložbu u Omišu u
prostoru "Knjižare Ljevak".
